Carpet Museum – was created in 1967, but its new building was constructed in 2014. Museum displays Azerbaijani carpets and rug items of various weaving techniques and materials from various periods. It has the largest collection of Azerbaijani carpets in the world. It moved to a new building on the Baku’s seafront park during 2014 from its former location on Neftchiler Avenue. At the time of establishing, it was the only museum that was dedicated to the art of carpet weaving. The main purpose of the creation of the museum was to store, research, and demonstrate unique examples of the carpet weaving art, which are Azerbaijan’s national heritage. The initiator of the museum was Latif Karimov – an outstanding scientist and carpet weaver, the founder of the science of Azerbaijan Carpet Weaving Art, artist and teacher, author of the fundamental work Azerbaijani carpet.

Baku Museums Tour starts with picking up from the hotel, Firstly you will visit Heydar Aliyev Cultural Center. The largest cultural hub in the Country, the Heydar Aliyev Center building was designed by Zaha Hadid Architects, following an international design competition held in 2007, and was completed in 2012. The center is famous for its fluid shape, which the architects intended as a reaction to the rigid architecture of the Soviet era as well as a reference to Islamic calligraphy and to elements of the traditional Azeri architecture. he program of activities of the Center combines Azeri history and traditions with contemporary culture, both local and international, and encompasses temporary exhibitions of art, science, and history; music concerts; theatrical performances; screenings; conferences; workshops; educational activities; and special events. Through an ensemble of artworks, historical objects, architectural models, videos, and interactive exhibits, the museum housed in the center features permanent exhibitions focused on the history of Azerbaijan, as well as on the heritage and personal life of national leader Heydar Aliyev. The Center also permanently displays artworks by renowned international artists such as Anish Kapoor and Yayoi Kusama.

National Museum of History of Azerbaijan is the largest museum in Azerbaijan, located in Baku, in the former mansion of Azerbaijani oil magnate and philanthropist Haji Zeynalabdin Taghiyev. It was founded in 1920 and opened to a visitor in 1921. The building of the Museum was built in 1893–1902. The Italian Renaissance-style mansion is immense and takes up an entire city block. There are four floors in some parts of the building. It was designed by Polish architect Józef Gosławski. The museum has more than 2000 exhibits and includes the following departments: Modern history department, Ethnography department, Department of the ancient and medieval history of Azerbaijan, Scientific excursion department, Laboratory for the restoration of museum exhibits, Fund of Numismatics: Including the collection of Yevgeni Pakhomov, Art design group, Library

Museum of Modern Art – The museum was built at the initiative of the First Lady of Azerbaijan, Mehriban Aliyeva and opened on 20 March 2009. It was funded by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, of which the First Lady is head. The foundation has also created projects with the Louvre Museum and the Palace of Versailles. The museum is intended as a focus for an “eco-cultural zone” conceived of by Thomas Kerns, former director of the Guggenheim Foundation, which will also include a white-sand beach, a Frank Gehry skyscraper, and a walkway that projects out over the Caspian Sea. The museum does not have fixed subject areas. The architectural concept of the museum avoids halls with corners and has open passages and walls that meet at different angles, creating a multidimensional perspective of exhibits. Conspicuous metallic structures and the use of the color white unite all parts into a single “moving abstract structure.” The chief designer of the museum is the artist Altay Sadikh-zadeh; the architect of the building is Jean Novel.

The Complex of Shirvanshahs Palace – 15th-century palace built by the Shirvanshahs and described by UNESCO as “one of the pearls of Azerbaijan’s architecture”. It is located in the Inner City of Baku, Azerbaijan and, together with the Maiden Tower, forms an ensemble of historic monuments inscribed under the UNESCO World Heritage List of Historical Monuments. The complex contains the main building of the palace, Divanhane, the burial-vaults, the shah’s mosque with a minaret, Seyid Yahya Baku’s mausoleum (the so-called “mausoleum of the dervish”), and south of the palace, a portal in the east, Murad’s gate, a reservoir and the remnants of a bathhouse. Earlier, there was an ancient mosque, next to the mausoleum. There are still ruins of the bath and the lamb belongs to the west of the tomb.

The Baku Museum of Miniature Books the only museum of miniature books in the world, settled in the old part of Baku, called Inner City. The museum started its operation on April 2, 2002. In 2015 the Museum of Miniature Books has presented the Certificate of the Guinness Book of Records as the largest private museum of miniature books.

Military Trophy Park The park showcases an impressive collection of over 300 exhibits, including around 150 pieces of heavy military equipment. Visitors can explore tanks, combat vehicles, artillery installations, anti-aircraft missile systems, small arms, and various vehicles. Notable items include T-72 tanks, MT-LB light-armored tractors, and 9K33 Osa and 2K12 Kub anti-aircraft missile systems. The park also features missile fragments from Russia's 9K720 Iskander tactical missile systems, found in Nagorno-Karabakh by the Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA).

A key attraction is the recreation of the Armenian defense network in Karabakh, which spanned 10 lines of concrete fortifications, anti-tank trenches, minefields, tunnels, and trenches. The park once displayed helmets from fallen Armenian soldiers and wax figures of Armenian military personnel. Though the wax figures and most helmets were removed in October 2021, a few helmets remain in the trenches. This change followed Armenia's filing of a lawsuit at the International Court of Justice (ICJ), which continues to push for the park’s closure.

A notable feature at the entrance is a plaque with over 2,000 Armenian license plates, bearing the inscription, "Karabakh is Azerbaijan!"
